 First Review wooohooooo!!!

It’s always hard to pick your first review haha. I decided to choose Fafner the dead aggressor 🙂
I literally just watched this as soon as I got home from the library I was so excited. This series is a sequel to Fafner in the Azure. and Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor – Heaven and Earth
The first series was released in 2004 and I never thought they would make a sequel or second season for it. It’s part of the new winter fall 2015 anime I am so glad it is !!!

When I watch anime I never keep up with the newest ones that come out. I’m always watching random anime mostly a lot of old ones. I don’t always like to stick to watching the latest ones that have come out, But of course in this case I had to. I saw Fafner a long time ago and was such an interesting storyline and anime in itself hehe.

So the first episode of Soukyu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Exodus was only just released today not sure when each episode comes out I’ll have to research that.

I liked how the episode started off with Soushi talking about the past and explaining how things were now (I think he was talking in reference to 3 or 4 years later on) but didn’t like the part where he said “If your listening to this message I am probably dead” so that gives you an idea of what might happen >.>

I was so excited of what happened to everyone and what they were doing with their lives now. The main characters of this anime are Soushi, Kazuki and Maya I would so. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this anime so I may need to rewatch *looks on ebay* n.n It’s nice to see some of the good characters still alive and living on their island in peace Soushi becoming a scientist, Kazuki a cook and Maya (well still a pilot kinda knew she would still be) but Maya is pretty bad ass. I think the time you see them on the island in peace I know it’s only peace in the whole of this anime you’ll see.

They all look pretty good here !!!

Some of the other things that were going on in the episode that the war between humans and Festum:

Looks inviting !! These creatures just confused me a lot in the old series haha lol

Nearly towards the end of the anime you see some whirl wind thing chasing a plane obviously with a girl with special abilties was a little confusing but I knew the delightful festum create thing was chasing them. As soon as I thought that the peaceful island Tatsumiyajima was shattered.

I wish I could write more about this episode but not much happened in this episode it was a slow episode sadly.
I will eventually (if I can get my hands on Fafner because I want it on dvd now) do a review on the first series so I can explain the whole plot of it as it has a very detailed plot, still there are some bits that confuse me haha lol

I am not sure if ill review this series episode by episode see how I feel when episode 2 comes out.
I cannot wait to watch this series and maybe have a conclusion to it hehe

Please feel free to comment if you have seen fafner or you have watched this episode ^___^
Always happy to discuss !!!

See ya next time

  1. actually, i just watched the old fafner series not too long ago, but i am quite confused about the whole thing x_x i watched the first ep of exodus then realised that i HAD to watch heaven and earth before exodus, so that cleared some things up!
